Pros

Good health benefits. Any number of sick leave (with in reason). Flexible work hours. Some employees are highly skilled. Most of the people are nice. The compensation is pretty decent (They do negotiate, you might have to press on it).

Cons

Too much of stress. This is partially because of bad management practices such as pushing employees too hard on impractical deadlines. The constant iterative (unnecessary) design changes that could have been done properly in the first place, this could be very frustrating. There are to many Managers combined with a lot of unskilled/fresh Engineers, lagging servers, IT problems don't make it easy. The adoption of the latest technologies is slow. Most of the technologies/equipment they use are old and obsolete. There is limited room for growth as they are good at making promises but bad at keeping them. There is a lot of self education (all training is on your own time) and very less (to no) training is provided as they don't believe in spending time and resources on educating employees. Employees have been marginalized to a certain task. This has led to a lot of employees being stuck with the same organization for years and years together due to their limited work proficiency. On the other hand the high achievers make their way out in 2-3 years. The bad part is the Management is highly unsuccessful at retaining any of these employees. I have personally seen so many skilled people leave under a few managers. I do not understand how is it not obvious. Hard working people are over burdened as they have to carry the weight (compensation) of management which makes it difficult with limited budget projects. There is a rift between the management and working employees. As very little to no credit is given to the employees making the actual drawings. On a positive note they literally hire anyone from the streets. This presents you with an opportunity. So if you are a fresh out of the school do not hesitate to jump on this boat. At the same time if you have some decent experience know what you are getting into and ask for your time is worth!

Needs better Management

Pros

A smaller company with a flexible work schedule in terms of start and end times. Composed of multiple small offices where you know every employee. The company provides a competitive benefits package.

Cons

It is a smaller office, and yet there is a lack of proper communication between departments, specifically the Management and Design teams. There is limited room for growth and they will find one task that you are good at and limit you to that task, as they don't like to spend resources on educating personnel. They expect you to be prior trained, or to learn the required skills on your own time at your own expense. Hard work is not respected and if you wish to advance you do so by "socializing" with the correct people. Hard work alone will not be acknowledged or adequately compensated. There is also a lack of proper HR, and a real problem with office gossip. If you have an issue with a Manager and/or Co-worker saying demeaning remarks and/or gossiping/ spreading rumors, there are no means of recourse. If you bring such issues to Management, they will do nothing about the situation. Ultimately, I would suggest staying away from this company. Although if you need experience to pad your resume straight out of school this company will suffice, they will hire anyone. Just be sure that you don't stay too long as I did, as it will cause you to burn out.
