Pros

Akumin is radiology company that is very good at being cheap. They've even reduced themselves to actually stealing money from their own employees. If you follow their new PTO guidelines, at most, this wretched company will pay you only 60% of your accrued vacation time that you've earned over the years. Imagine that you worked for the same company for 20 years and you didn't use all your PTO. When u retire or quit, that's a nice payout that was PREVIOUSLY EARNED. But, Akumin buys your company and says NOPE! You have to give us 4 weeks notice to resign to get back 60% of your ALREADY EARNED PTO. It's even worse for folks that have much less tenor. BTW, the medical, dental and 401k are as equally a slap in the face. It's unfortunate that the CEO and Chairman is the same cheap @sshole and gave his thumps up to his influenced benefits package that's driving so many employees to leave this horrible company that think of their workforce as SLAVES.

Cons

Akumin needs to treat their employees better than scum. Dont waste your time applying for a job with Akumin. Especially if you have a family and good medical benefits are a must. You'd be better off as a garbage man getting paid by your state. If you haven't figured it out, AKUMIN BLOWS!

Pros

diagnostic imaging and how it advances patient care. Solving problems and meeting complex needs of providers and patients. Bringing valuable imaging advancements to hospital systems.

Cons

Tone deaf leadership, out of touch with reality. This place is an example of a company not knowing or understanding the business they bought. If you as a salesperson, want to spend your time explaining workflow, business strategy, c suite dynamics and pain points of each account to a pile of overpaid sales execs while you beg for your fairly earned bonus because they can't figure out or have changed the math or the formula, you'll love it here! Read that twice because there are many AEs who will tell you the same thing. I've never witnessed a company destroy itself so well and with such full throated enthusiasm. Talented hardworking field based sales people being asked to do busy work spreadsheets, sit on irrelevant conference calls and log calls on a GPS tracker. This place will take someone with two -three plus decades of successful experience and fully waste that talent. PET and MRI units will break down and you'll miss many service days, but you'll have the same sales goal even though you had less opportunity to get scans completed. It's like saying there is no service available 10% of the time but hey, please sell more of that service and please deliver 20% more volume YOY. In other words..too bad sucker no bonus for you Working here is like watching a dumpster fire that you try to extinguish but it keeps roaring back to life. Leadership fails to understand the difference between different accounts, JV wholesale, retail, they just apply the same approach no matter given to the different stakeholders involved. We are busy and engaged and working on short, mid, long term goals that existed before the new leadership arrived. Sales ppl are pulled from all their projects to talk about nothing with leaders who have nothing to offer as a solution. You'll be questioned about your volume even when it is low because service was cancelled with no make up days provided.

Pros

Fellow coworkers are good. That's about it.

Cons

This company does not gives raises. They are buying too quickly without fixing the centers that they already own. Most centers still have old company logos on building and are in desperate need of remodeling. Management including the VP of the company wont answer your emails or phone calls. Told all lies when they took over. Nothing was followed through. Half the people "in charge" do not know what they are doing. You have a 20 something year old running a center who is on instagram and snapchat all day . Beware of this company. Make sure you get a good pay rate because you will never get a raise. The tech schedule is always overbooked and then when you can not take a lunch you get yelled at by management. Also since you are overbooked you end up staying late and management also tells at you if you receive overtime.
