Pros
There are great medical benefits such that an entire family can be insured for an extremely low price. There is a feeling that you're making a positive impact on the world working this job in that you work criminal cases in order to use science to solve it.
Cons
The Laboratory is not properly funded, which means that there are backlogs of cases needing to be tested and some outdated equipment. Crime Scene response is expected at all hours, but there is no on-call pay.
