"Small family business" = extremely personal when toxic. Constant blame thrown around and policy changes every week. We used to be able to read or something during slow shifts since it's not a customer facing job & you're only needed when you're needed, but now management freaks if they see you doing anything but sitting there on the cameras. A lot of changes were ridiculous and very out of touch—upper management really had no idea what was going on/what it was like in central station and made weird & bad changes that only made things worse. A lot of people left around the same time for a reason. Owners were nice enough up front, but word got around that management liked pointing fingers behind people's back.
