Pros

You get to travel You see glaciers, wildlife, sunsets, snow, mountains, and other amazing sights You get heavily discounted adventures when doing anything from ziplining to glacier walking You get free train ride on your days off You get free non-alcoholic drinks while working

Cons

The manager appears to be sexist in hiring criteria The manager seems to value to aesthetic appeal of a person rather than their contribution to the team Typical day is anywhere from 12-17 hours, and you could have back to back 17 hour days, not providing your enough time to rest You are regularly prompted to "form meaningful connections" with clients, but must do so only in the span of a few minutes before moving on You are not provided a meal, even from the snack car of the train Wage is terrible (around 13/h when I was working there) There are no benefits, such as vision or dental You have to buy your uniform, and there is no reimbursement for returning it Their is no commitment to their employees: you can be promised rehire rights by performing additional work for the company outside of work for no pay, and then be passed on for someone who does not meet the same criteria given and worked to meet

Pros

The people and the work are the best, I really enjoyed the 23 years spent there. I would have made it 33 but upper management made it hard to believe in the cause. The CEO is doing a fine job, but he needs to adjust/boot out some of his managers.

Cons

Some managers don't have a clue,- one sided, know it all and lack the knowledge and/or experience of dealing with people and projects, as well as waste a lot of Railroad budget.
