Unprofessional, Dishonest, Terrible Company

Pros

401K match and profit sharing are decent. Until this year the company had a decent health care program. In 2018 they reformed it to make the high deductible plan the only affordable option to entry/mid level employees to ensure less money out of executive pockets and more money out of the employees.

Cons

The managers are unskilled and BEYOND unprofessional. HR has configured a yearly review process in which it makes it impossible to get a yearly raise. Your supervisor conducts your review and even if your supervisor deems you eligible for a raise, HR will tell you that you are ineligible based on their score even though they do not deal with you on a daily basis. Internal employ morale is pitiful. There is so much cattiness within the departments that it makes it impossible to come to work and enjoy your job. Everyone is more worried about what the person next to them is doing instead of doing their job. The younger employees in the business are often shamed for their difference in work ethics and opinions. You hear the word “millennial” thrown around in a condescending matter quite often. Although politics shouldn’t be brought into the workplace this is primarily a conservative male run business. You will find VERY few men in the office and only ONE female out in the sales field. There is no training program in place. You are trained by other employees in the business as they have time to train. Being successful in this business is more about who you know and who’s pawn you are. Interdepartmental communication is horrendous. You are shamed if you are helping another employee out within the office, but you are preached to in the customer experience meetings that “Teamwork makes the dream work”. I opened a harassment case with HR and nothing was done about it. If you have tenure with the company, you will be treated wonderfully and will have great job security even if you do not do your job correctly. For new employees, do not expect yearly raises, respect, or the opportunity for growth. Your position and title will be diminished if you have a degree and someone else in the company doesn’t have a degree but you both have the same job title. Terrible company to work for and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Pros

Company offers competitive 401K program

Cons

Where do I start ? There is a shortage of employees in some key areas leading to stressed overworked people in a division that makes money for the company while there is an abundance of people in non-revenue producing jobs. The management team is beyond horrible, nobody cares about the employee. It's all about making budget. Their yearly surveys are the biggest joke, YOU need to LISTEN to what your employees are saying instead of having another"Managers meeting" with unqualified, unprofessional rejects from other dealerships. Hello... There is a reason they were available. I think it would be more productive if Mr. Alban sat down with 20 or more long term employees from different areas of the company and have a heart to heart with just the workers-no management- and see where that might lead us because I feel that we are a sinking ship.

Top Heavy; Non engaged Leadership Team

Pros

Standard Benefits; Friendly employees; Strong community engagement

Cons

Leadership does not seem to care about ALL employees; Company works very hard to keep techs and sales team but does not seem to care about the other hard working employees. NO training for non-tech/sales employees. Senior Leadership seem to hide from engaging with employees.
