Upon joining the company I was excited about the job and was keen to get started. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to experience the role as after 5 days I’ve been told there have been some concerns about my performance (what performance? I haven’t even had a proper training yet). I’ve also been told I was falling asleep on shift (If you ever get hired by Alcedo Care, don’t you dare yawn on the premise) and that I said that the job was boring (that literally never happened). After that, they told me they are ending my probation. This conversation has started at 9:00 AM and at 9:03 AM I was back in my car going home. Before that, I haven’t been told once that they weren’t happy with what I do, so I didn’t even have a chance to improve. That is not how you treat people. I understand than any company has the right to end your probation at any point if they’re not happy. However, they waited for me for 4 weeks while I was working my notice and then after 5 days they decided I wasn’t the right fit for the job. I can only say that in the end I’ve dodged a bullet and I’m grateful that I got to see how this company treats people.
