Hostile work environment, especially at the corporate office in Williamsville, NY.
The owners do not care about the parent company (Aleron), they only care about their "own" companies, Acara Solutions and Broadleaf Resources. There have been so many name changes and rebrandings throughout the last 10 years that they seem to be trying to either run from or hide from their bad reputation.
You are expected to work about 60 hrs/week. Your salary is based on 40hrs/wk. They will tell you not to work over 40 hours, but give you a work load with deadlines that are impossible to meet at only 40hrs/wk. If you ask to review your workload, they will offer to demote you and reduce your salary.
The worst part of the company is “The Trifecta” . These are 3 people in positions of "power" that together make day-to-day life unbearable. If you do not bow down to them, they will do whatever they can to make you miserable. I’ve seen falsified reports created and presented to VPs to make other employees look incompetent. Since HR is included in this sham, there is nobody that you can go to with grievances – if you speak out against any of these 3 it’ll just make your life worse. You don't ever want to be in a room alone with the trifecta. If you are alone with them, bring your phone and use the voice recorder. They will lie about what they said to you - you will need proof to save yourself.
The company has attempted (multiple times) to improve company morale, but until they remove or break up the trifecta, they will continue to lose good, dedicated employees.
