The Alice Ferguson Foundation has a wonderful staff education staff. You can really learn a lot on the job from other employees. Everyone as distinct environmental specialties.
Cons
There is limited room for growth from an educator position. Many people stay in the role as educators for a long time. If you really love working with kids and working outdoors, and you don't need to make a ton of money, this is a great part-time position.
Greatest working environment. It is all outdoor environmental education. A beautiful site on the Potomac River. The people were all friendly, knowledgeable and great to work with.
Cons
Budget constraints meant that it didn't pay much over minimum wage. Which is the only reason I left.
