Pros
It was a very relaxed atmosphere, and was able to learn about a variety of different of products in the floorcovering industry. I was sent to two conferences to learn more about the industry.
Cons
Owner is very stubborn, has a distasteful attitude, and says ugly comments to employees. After I was fired, she told me to listen to a motivational tape on my way home. Very unprofessional, yells and cusses over the phone frequently and in front of customers. Very "oldschool" mentality, doesn't have anything listed on the internet and will probably never read this. Only 5-7 customers a WEEK because she refuses to advertise or market her small/local business correctly. There is no future in the job or this company. I would be surprised if they last another year before going bankrupt. Oh yeah, no life/medical/dental insurance, retirement benefits, tuition reimbursement, gas mileage reimbursement. Nothing. There are no other benefits to this company and there never will be.
