Pros

Flexible scheduling, very high potential for overtime. Lots of good people can help you get through the days, good place to get some basic experience.

Cons

Abuse: it's everywhere. Management literally does not care about anything, does not listen to any requests made by staff, and do not keep any information confidential. They also violate just about every employment law you can think of. The pay is poor by standards from the 90's. EMTs make $9/hr which is below the poverty line. Medics make $12.50. You can earn more money and not risk your license at a super market. Equipment is old and out dated - some 3 lead monitors are still in service. Many of the trucks have over 200,000 miles and have barely functional air conditioning. There are 24 hour shifts without any kind of shower or laundry available: most crews just post in the truck. You will be held over for calls on a regular basis. This company does almost 0 first response so that means discharges and transfers. Getting off late happens more often than not.

Pros

Good place to get experience when you first get you license. The schedule is really flexible and can work around you.

Cons

Way too cheap. They do not pay nearly enough for the work the make you do most of the time. Having someone's life in your possession, whether emergency or non-emergency; you should get paid more than $9.00/hr
