Pros

It's sad to write that the top pro is that it's hard to get fired. There are some wonderful, caring people that work there. This is especially true of the Foster care & Adoption department, the preschool, and the Family Resource Centers. CEO Ron Brown is top-notch.

Cons

Wow, don't get on senior management's bad side, they are brutal. Although nothing ever happened to me, I saw it happen to other employees. Lots of lawsuits, that should tell you what working there is like. The Development department was similar to Jr. High Lots of cattiness, The Chief Development Officer was great, but the majority of others in the department were fake and immature.

Pros

Earn your intern hours quickly.

Cons

CB does not care about their therapists and they make that clear on a daily basis. There is little to no support or acknowledgment from management despite enforcing large caseloads (20+) and ridiculous expectations (ie 24 hour turnaround for assessments). ZERO communication. Things are constantly changing which is the nature of DMH but CB essentially expects you to figure things out on your own and implement the new expectations immediately. Then when you make a mistake, it’s still your fault despite their failure to relay information appropriately. It’s all a mess. Another review said they abuse their employees...I’d say that’s true!

Pros

Trainings Getting hours towards licensure Quick acquisition of hours

Cons

Upper management only cares about numbers and profit margins. Therapists are over worked with high case loads, and no empathy/support.
