All the awesomeness about the company is just smoke and mirrors
Pros
The people who work at this company are very friendly and hip. They have a ping pong table which is just plain awesome, and the coworkers and I used to go out to drink or in general have fun Friday nights. Also the office is nice and large and has an in-house movie theater. When the work is slow, it's a nice pace and can be fun and fulfilling.
Cons
The work is in a frenzy about 80% of the time, every project is top priority and you will have many people constantly bothering you which ruins concentration and any fulfillment the work itself could bring. Sometimes the work causes one of us to have to work several hours past 6pm (when we generally leave) without overtime pay. This company tends to fire people for iffy reasons, usually to replace them with cheap labor or foreign consultants (which tends to further make worse the accountability issues within the company), I honestly believe that the owners and management simply don't care about their workers. One issue I see is the managers and leads are very immature and it shows. Some are obnoxious, borderline misogynist, and egotistic, some are downright insulting to workers. This is simply too unprofessional for my liking. There's constant meetings without structure, there's always a cigarette or eCig smell, management is always screaming and fighting each other and I find there's never any real accountability.
