Pros

Commission was nice when you got it.

Cons

Toxic environment of clicky women running a call centre, if you don’t suffer with anxiety you will after working here. The go on about employee well being but do very little other than give you mental health issues and diabetes from all the treats. The only reason they give treats is so you leave them a good glass door review which they ask you to do and the employee survey which they talk about so much. The head of the call centre is not nice at all and if she doesn’t like you then you will be gone, sickness is not something this place will let you have 3 days and you’re basically out. They would never admit this but they give preferential calls to certain staff members who are either related or part of the click. They listen to your calls nit picking at things you say and finding reasons not to pay commission, can’t say bare with me as apparently it means something else. All about painting themselves as an amazing place to work but wolf in sheep’s clothing is the best phrase to use.

Pros

If you can read from a screen you can do the job

Cons

Really vile and dishonest company that regularly lie to their employees from the job description onwards, The job itself consists of having the exact same word for word conversation over and over again in attempt to reach the companies strict and unrealistic quality standards. Often times you will be having conversations about serious and personal medical conditions with customers. Most calls are heavily monitored so they can look for reasons to get out of paying any bonus such as using a different word or not saying the company name enough times. Management only care about if you are earning them money straight away and if not they will look for any reason to instantly dismiss you. It seems managements main job is to look for people on their team that they can manipulate into accepting no bonus. During my time there I saw lots of unethical dismissals while the mangers were not kept to the same standards are were getting away with far worse. I found taking about mental health to them to totally fall on death ears. No self respecting person would stay at this company for long

Pros

Great people to work with, my team manager was amazing and went the extra mile to make sure the team was ok. If you sell many policies you’d make a decent amount of commission on top of your salary.

Cons

Monotonous work, got to read from a script word for word sounding like a robot majority of the time. No opportunity for progression unless you’re a teachers pet for over a year then you might be lucky enough to get a sniff at anything, and that’s if they haven’t already hired someone else externally for a managerial role, who also has no clue what they’re doing. Good luck trying to find out what shifts you’re on for the following month as they usually they get released a few days before hand leaving you clueless to know what days/hours you’re meant to be working - on top of this also good luck with trying to book off any holiday as the planning team like to take a very long time to get back to you just to say that there’s too many people off at once. The upper management also like to make updates to a system that completely breaks everything, and it’s still your fault if you’re not on the phone selling. Promised to fund the CII qualifications, still waiting a a year later. Also minimum wage.
