Management is notoriously afraid of conflict, lacking transparency, and passive aggressive regarding performance reviews. They claim to be a family company but do not prioritize work life balance. All attempts at culture reform have further deepened the divide and caused more distrust between staff and leadership.

Prolific output/ Chaotic Management in Education Department with high turn-over

The current Education Director has been in position since 2013. Since that time, over a dozen full-time departmental employees have left their jobs because of abusive behavior from leadership and broken trust. The Education Director is often poorly prepared, has low tolerance for listening, is not sufficiently computer literate, engages in triangulation tactics, and is excellent at deflecting accountability and manipulation.

The folks that I directly worked with were supremely kind and supportive.

Cons

If you are not working in leadership, you probably will not have a very positive experience. Very little care or attention is payed to those at the bottom of the totem pole. Even though I worked hard, and was often complimented by my superiors, I was never granted a raise or a promotion.
