      Overall decent place to work. Like it, just gets old with time, there’s no advancement now that the place is full.

      Pros

      Longevity vs other companies out there. RiverView is the mother ship of Illinois basin coal and will be the last one standing.

      Cons

      No raises.... ever! Can’t even get a cost of living raise. Been with Alliance 14 years and make less yearly now than i did then! Management seems to be hand picked, no issue with that, they can have it.

      Pros

      Good benefits, good starting pay, good job security as they are a conservative company. Great comatose to work for if you are satisfied with doing the same job for 30 years.

      Cons

      Little room for advancement and not much chance for a pay raise. Management has little knowledge of what goes on in operations.
