Pros

-Friendly work environment -401k Plan available -Paid holidays for movers and drivers -Plenty of opportunities for overtime -Government contracts yield a slight increase in hourly wages -Management will accommodate student schedules -Paid drive time -Potential for tips

Cons

-Unpredictable schedule -Hours may be greatly reduced after Summer (the main moving season), which may require some to take on an additional part-time job -Hourly wages for movers and drivers seem a bit lower than average -401k plan does not offer any matching contributions -Movers are required to purchase their own tools -Inadequate training offered to new movers, which can be dangerous -Maintenance on fleet vehicles is often neglected -Very limited opportunities for advancement -Tips are uncommon, since the majority of the work is government contracting
