Pros

Non, I have nothing good to say.

Cons

Most everything. Extremely toxic work culture and environment. Everyone gets pitted against each other. Management only gives out raises/promotions if you’re “friends” with the right people and has nothing to do with time, skill, or experience in your position or store. Double shifting happens more often than not because stores are constantly understaffed. There where times when I would have to work two straight shifts and then get an 8hr break before having to do it all over again. Have to work all holiday’s, I had to do a double on both Christmas and Christmas Eve. Store bonuses are given directly to managers to doll out as they see fit, which can sometimes only go to them and/or the people they like and then they threaten you to not tell anyone else that you got a bonus much less how much it was. Certain managers will be off work for months with no ramifications but if anyone else takes off they have to have doctors notes and jump through hoops to not get written up or threatened with termination. Inexperienced new hires can get starting pay above even assistant managers who have been there for years and they threaten you if you talk about your pay/bonuses with others. You get in trouble for getting overtime even when you don’t have the choice but to work overtime due to understaffing. If management decides they don’t like you they will schedule you in bad shifts they know you can’t work and try to have coworkers bully you out until you quit, I saw it happen many times to many people. It was all around a horrible experience and I really don’t recommend it there’s a reason why employee turnover rates are through the roof.

Pros

Good job if you need money NOW. They pay weekly and got hired in about 3 days. Worked overnights during a summer between JC and Uni. The manager was great and very understanding in adjusting my schedule, though I heard from the grapevine that she's no longer there. Meet all kinds of people. Decent pay, I believe my wage was 12/hr and I didn't have much job experience. Good summer job if you want a challenge or something different, but I wouldn't recommend staying long.

Cons

Overnights were either boring (11 P.M. - 3 A.M.) or extremely busy (3 A.M. - 7 A.M on weekdays). The boring parts were always the best, at least in my opinion. Cleaning store > Dealing with cranky early morning customers Combines the stress of both retail and fast food. Mistakes were almost unavoidable due to the amount of customers and time you have to get them out the door, especially during the oil rush. High turnover rate. I was hired along with two other people around my age. I was the only one remaining after about a month. I don't think any of my old co-workers or manager are still there and I left only a couple of months ago.
