Pros

Ally Logistics is a mid tier freight brokerage pretending to be at the forefront of the industry. This company lacks tech, effective management and trust.

Cons

if this is you first job in corporate America STAY AWAY FROM ALLY LOGISTICS. This company loves to prey on fresh college grads that are oblivious to how a corporate entity operates and the politics that follow. They demoralize fresh talent and totally manipulate new hire and fill them with false promises. Management is on a whole other level of messed up. If your not in the club at Ally then you my as well quit. Managers only promote people they go out with or establish "fake" relationships with outside of the office. They don't promote you based of skill but rather your social attributes outside of work . Truly sad that they have managers that would hurt the company like this in the long run. And the best part the owners, dont believe a single word the owners say. these guys are total B.S. they promote how against non competes they are then fill there no solicit form with non compete language . " READ YOUR DOCUMENTS" and don't let these bottom of the industry clowns fool you. If you are a smart individual in this industry you should steer clear of this company.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience as an Ally employee did not meet your expectations. We do our best to set clear expectations upfront in the interview process, ensuring prospective employees are clear with not only their individual role expectations, but that we’re also as transparent as possible about Ally’s values and philosophies. This is a fast-paced, often challenging industry, but we work hard to ensure our employees are supported and empowered regardless. We believe that, so far, this approach has worked well for us, given our 94% retention rate. Unfortunately, without context or specifics we’re unable to directly respond to your comment regarding “demoralizing fresh talent and manipulating new hires”, however, we rebuilt our training program within the last few years in an effort to set all new hires up for success – regardless of age or experience. This includes an intensive three-week training program, the opportunity to shadow and speak with current team members frequently, and continued support and training for the weeks and months to follow. Additionally, our HR team coordinates 3, 6, and 12 month check-ins with all new hires, giving them an opportunity to share any issues or concerns and check in on how they are feeling in their role. If you ever felt the way you described above while in your role, we surely hope you brought it to someone’s attention during your tenure. Additionally, we continue to welcome feedback even though you are no longer with the organization – feel free to email hr@allylogistics.com at any time. In regards to your comment about promotions, those are given out based on skill, experience, and dedication to the role. We would never promote someone that we don’t believe is the right fit for that role, as that ultimately would be a detriment to our overall success as an organization. In regards to your comment about non-compete and non-solicit language, we’ve have publicly made it clear that we do not hand out or enforce non-compete agreements, but we do believe that non-solicits are a natural part of business and we do enforce them for some roles. We strongly believe that you should be legally allowed to seek employment at any other company should you choose to leave Ally Logistics, however taking company information while doing so becomes a separate, ethical issue. We apologize if any expectations were unclear for your role when you joined the team. We appreciate this review, as we will take this information and continue to work to ensure that expectations are clear starting at the interview process and beyond.

Pros

The company is littered with middle management, so show up for 2 weeks straight and you'll probably be promoted to some position that makes no sense.

Cons

The owners and upper management lie, it's that simple. They pay people to write positive reviews on Glassdoor. There's very little diversity here... This company is all about public perception instead of providing a quality work atmosphere. They claim to be against non-compete contracts, but that's a lie also. Don't sign any contracts because they're coming for you after they fire you! Don't question anything or you'll be fired, especially if you make good money and/ or have been with the company for a long time. Very few good people remain with the company past a few years.

I did not receive any appreciation

Pros

They might have an efficient process, a decent pay and benefits, and a highly motivated team, but they weren't enough to tolerate the abuse and bad treatment.

Cons

I was scarred by my experience in this company. During my tenure there, I did not receive any appreciation or even just a thank you. All I got was endless insults and abuse from my manager. It's really demoralizing to still continue working in that type of environment so I had to quit. It took me a while to recover from that demoralizing experience.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience with Ally Logistics was not a positive one. If a claim of abuse or harassment were brought to our attention, we would always investigate as we do not take that lightly. To the best of our knowledge, this was not in this case. We always welcome feedback, and know we are by no means a perfect employer. If you have feedback you’d like to provide our HR team in regards to this situation, please reach out at hr@allylogistics.com. We work very hard to create a positive, encouraging, and empowering environment, despite being in a fast-paced, challenging industry. Over the last several years, we’ve worked to implement various things to ensure our employees feel supported in many different areas, such as: - A recently improved handbook with more detailed policies in a variety of areas, including a zero-tolerance policy for harassment - 3, 6, and 12 month check-ins for employees to discuss their role confidentially with our HR team - Quarterly reviews for employees to discuss their goals, concerns, and more with their direct supervisor - A partnership with Boon Health, an external, personalized coaching platform that empowers team members to overcome challenges and reach their goals - Weekly anonymous shout-outs to build each other up and celebrate wins The job duties are not always easy, and this industry is not for everyone, and we recognize that. We want people to be a fit for Ally Logistics just as much as we want Ally Logistics to be a fit for current and prospective employees. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and hope you find a role that’s a great fit for you.
