Male dominated company, closed-minded. I had originally applied to work in the kitchen, and I had a culinary background to support it & the manager / owner hired me for bartender because I’m a “good looking female”. They’re absolutely disgusting there. I have endometriosis which is a serious condition that affects 1 in 10 women, & one shift I was dealing with severe pain & cramps and had asked to leave 30 minutes early. It was dead & I made sure everything was super clean and prepped for the person taking over me and explained my situation to the boss and he said it was all good if I go home. Then I came the next day for my shift and they told me I don’t work there anymore. I was completely took off guard so I just went home. Then I went in the following week to pick up my paycheck and the manager (which is a dude btw) refused to confront me & was hiding in the back like the scared, pathetic person he is. It was humiliating.
