Pros

Experience in working in a residential facility with various co-occuring disorders present within the client base helps growth with lesser experienced clinicians.

Cons

Work load. Leadership. Business imperatives and direction. More concerned with marketing and recruitment than client care. Culture leans toward appeal to upper middle class white women. This company fails to keep clients and staff safe. Transparency is a bad word. Leaders are more consumed with their own aspirations and ambition than developing the staff..much of which is highly inexperienced. There is a reason they have been hit with the litany of litigation. They will throw their own under the bus to save the brand. Work/life balance is aweful. Carrer opportunities receive 3 stars due to the revolving door of employees; one can go from Direct Care to a managerial position in 2 yrs....sadly enough.

Pros

Decent money and full time remote with lots of flexibility

Cons

I have no words. This is the poorly managed company I have EVER worked for. In admissions they make it extremely clear we are all replaceable and it is a revolving door. Monthly to bi-monthly staff are fired, laid off, or simply disappear and management has a meeting days later after not telling anyone, not providing coverage, and waiting for us to figure it out amongst ourselves first. Bonuses were calculated incorrectly more than they were correct and often given weeks late. It was a fight with HR and the VP to even get paid. Turnover was so high I outlived almost all of management and my entire team easily. People were let go for no reason as they exercised the “at will employer” very often. A culture committee was started and just stopped meeting bc things got so bad. HR tried to start a new one and no one wanted to join. Team culture went down the drain. BEWARE and please save your time and sanity and do not apply. I ended up switching to my husbands insurance after one year bc I honestly did not think Alsana would keep me employed the next year despite my great reputation and being a top performer each month. This has cost my sanity, dignity, and packed on loads of anxiety for fear of losing your job every week, fear of not speaking up for getting fired, and overall terrible micro-management.
