Changing culture, aggressive plans and attitudes
Pros
AltaOne has really great individuals that work there that really care about the organization and the members. While I don’t think the pay is appropriate for the work, there were the first raises and bonuses given this year than in several years. If you have a good boss that cares about your area, you can have a really great experience.
Cons
If your job duties and decisions are dependent on Senior Management, it can be very difficult to get work done. There are only a couple of individuals that can make the large business decisions and they are stretched so thin that things are delayed. The new CEO has good intentions and some great knowledge but shows no compassion or recognition for the employees and work that happened during the pandemic. She instead criticizes how poor of a job the organization has done in the last few years. There is a lack of work-life balance encouraged. The higher you advance within the company, you are expected to be working all the time. The culture is changing to a less kind and accepting environment. Many projects are unorganized and end in some error due to the lack of a project team. The HR department has improved slightly but often does not respond to requests at all and if they do, it is often delayed.
