Benefits are decent once you get them.

Cons

Safety isn’t a big issue even though they preach it. Not treated very well. 30 minute lunch in 12 hour shift is all you get. Pay is poor compared to job being done.

Pros

One of the best reasons to work at Alton Steel is the benefits. They have excellent medical benefits, it only cost employees $80 a month for a family.

Cons

On the big cons of working at Alton Steel the plant is very old and Alton Steel doesn't put any money into the plant to updated the facility.
