Pros
Very personable CEO, relatable and understanding with a scientific outlook.
Cons
CTO seems disengaged with employees and uninterested in feedback.
Pros
After working in several startups in Berlin where performance and growth was prioritized over employee health and wellbeing, joining Ambrosys was a breath of fresh air. The team here genuinely loves what they do, and they bring that passion and positivity to work with them every day. Everyone gets along well, and team events are always fun with this group. My favorite aspect of working here is that you have the freedom to impact the company or make changes as you see fit. Nothing is covered in red tape or set in stone, and the leadership is always very open to new ideas. I love being in a small company where the hierarchies are flat and the CEO/CTO don't ever talk down to you. Even the smallest contributors can make a huge impact here, and the projects we work on are both interesting and meaningful. The team is very diverse and international as well, which is a huge bonus.
Cons
Located in Potsdam, which is a benefit for the locals here (myself included) but I can understand how the commute might be long for the employees living in Berlin.
Pros
offered avenues for skill development and career advancement, providing valuable experiences for employees looking to grow. Many team members were skilled and dedicated, creating a collaborative atmosphere among peers.
Cons
Poor Management Decisions: The managerial decisions often appeared shortsighted, leading to challenges in project execution and team morale. High Pressure Environment: There was a pervasive culture of pressure and unrealistic expectations, contributing to a stressful work environment. Lack of Effective Communication: The communication from leadership was often unclear or insufficient, leading to confusion and inefficiencies within teams. Compromised Work-Life Balance: The constant demands and pressures from management hindered a healthy work-life balance for many employees.
