      Decent pay but harsh expectations for EMTs

      Pros

      The pay was decent, and there were initially plenty of opportunities to pick up shifts.

      Cons

      If you fall behind on reports, the supervisor will demand that you finish them while at home, and off the clock. If you don't finish them while at home, and off the clock, the Director of Operations will tell HR that you resigned, and your termination will be employed. This only applies to EMTs, though. AEMTs and Paramedics are allowed to fall as far behind on reports as they please.

      Pros

      Patients we care for are wonderful. Very interesting adventures in ems.

      Cons

      Racial makeup of employees does not reflect the Black community that pay the bill. Leadership does not match racial makeup of government that pays the bill. Poor Black community has racist White staff transporting them.
