Pros

Great place to learn about health insurance policy. But be warned about working here! No honest transparancy or communication from Management. The CEO hides in his office and has his #2 run the company. More concerning is AHIP has found a work around to remove negative company reviews. Let's see how long it will take for this post to be removed.

Cons

I saw a recent post that stated AHIP executive leadership is unethical , and now the post has been removed, other recent negative reviews have been removed since new management started. It appears there is no way a current or past employee can safely and share their true and honest experience working at AHIP if it's not positive. This says a lot about Executive Management! What do you have to hide? Little to no promotion opportunities no matter how long you have worked there, management was going to roll out a new pay program but dropped the ball leaving employees with unfulfilled expectations.

Pros

The organization provides excellent benefits together with reasonable compensation and helpful HR support to its employees. The upper leadership maintains its focus on continuous work operations without showing concern for employee downtime. The company needs to review its current three-day hybrid remote work arrangement. The office commute creates difficulties for employees who need to care for their elderly parents while managing their housing and resources. The company should allow employees to work from home during summer months and consider lowering the office requirement to one or two days per week. The company should extend this option to all employees. All in-person meetings should transition to virtual meetings until further notice. I am ready to conduct meetings with my team through online platforms since we previously operated this way before recent organizational changes. The company needs to assess new changes while tracking their effects because employee burnout requires immediate attention instead of ignoring their impact after a set time period.

Cons

The organization's upper management does not grasp the concept of work-life balance. The company has designated particular days for office attendance which has resulted in feeling compressed and stale work environments. The organization operates primarily as an independent workspace because my observations and discussions show this to be true. The workplace environment shows employees working independently in their designated areas. The management team ignores the various age groups and life phases of staff members while neglecting to ask appropriate questions to obtain useful feedback.
