Pros

Great co-workers. Good fishing. Very high cost of living. Have to travel one hour for anything - medical, movies, shopping. Very poor school.

Cons

Management is very young without any experience. Good old boy system. Zero chance of promotion. Low pay with a lot stress and over scheduled. Work excessive hours without any appreciation. Lots of meaningless meetings from management that put you even further behind. Very poor software that is outdated DOS based and out dated. Software takes at least a year to begin to learn and a couple years to become proficient. Software is a dead language and is no longer supported by IT department. All the programmers have left or retired. Very high turn over rate. 6 experienced engineers have left this year alone. Three of the engineers were senior professional engineers. Professional Engineers are expected to rubber seal other engineer designs without any time to review design. Very unethical. Get all the money you can when starting because you will not get another raise.

Pros

Working for Nucor was the only good thing. Most of the young hires were great to work with.

Cons

The good young hires were never promoted. The young brats were always picked to lead. These young brats have no respect for those with more experience. They do all they can to make the seasoned professionals very uncomfortable enough to leave. ABC then can hire 2 young guys for the price of one. The older guys are bullied by young inexperienced punk "leaders" that are so stupid in there leadership skills. One can file a grievance but it goes now where. We had no B-day parties like I've read about other offices. Everything we were fed was negative.

Pros

Wonderful group of people to work with!

Cons

The location is too remote. i had a good work/life balance, but engineers do not. Some work extremely long hours, and because they are salary employees, they do not get compensated for working from sometimes 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
