Pros

Great possibilities, could be a great school and work place if not for the owner. Pay is low, but schedule could be flexible, if you needed to go to the dr, etc..

Cons

Owner is running the company into the ground. No respect for employees at all. Plays favorites until she gets what she wants from you. Everything is done on her whim, or her emotions/mood of the day. Overly micro-manages everyone, expects salary employees to work overtime and on weekends, for very low pay. Also cuts salary employees to part-time with no warning, but not respect a part-time schedule calling or emailing when not at work or on weekends.

It's a teaching job in Madrid.

Cons

Please pay attention to the reviews here, they are generally 5 stars or 1 stars. And if there is anything positive written, it's about the teaching, NOT the organization. Why? Because when people leave (and the turnover rate is VERY high), they write 1 star reviews, because that's the truth. And then the academy asks the current teachers to please write a 5 star review to help their ratings. If you're desperate, then yes, you can work here and make a bit of money. But if you want to be happy at work, look elsewhere.

“Business” prioritized over teaching, shady practices- partial salary en negro.

Get to know self-sacrificing, phenomenal teachers- really great people who know how to teach and show their dedication. Facility is modern and taken care of. Central location in Madrid. Help with visa paperwork.

Cons

Leadership is corrupt; illegally sustains the “fijo-discontinuo” employment contact, year after consecutive year (no matter length of time); Large portion of monthly salary is paid under the table (en negro) to avoid paying taxes; salaries received late every month (sometimes the 7th/8th or even later); the Academy pushes back on, and positions the blame for low enrollment or poor business performance, on teachers; engages in rigged website positioning by arm-twisting teachers to repeatedly “search” and access the Academy website; Involves entire staff to protect Google Review history by bombarding the bad reviews (with the “Report Review” function) that leadership determines as “spam” or retaliatory in nature.
