Good pay, great benefits, little support

Pros

American Medical Systems is the only real company doing penile implants and has, perhaps, the best products for incontinence.

Cons

My manager said it best about how he views his sales people: "Ride a good horse until he's given you everything". What he didn't finish with was the obvious: "then shoot him."

Once a great place, but no longer.

Pros

Compensation and benefits are good. Facilty is above average. AMS still has some longer term employees who still care about the company, but they are becoming fewer and more dissatisfied with the direction of the company and are being hurt by poor morale in general.

Cons

AMS has become a revolving door, particularly in the Operations/Manufacturing group. The recent change in the Operations VP will certainly accelerate the process. Unfortunate to see good, strong contributors taking their talent elsewhere. A general lack of respect for employees and terrible morale is taking it's toll even on long term personnel.

Pros

Good products. Dedicated employees that have great relationships with physicians.

Cons

The management has either removed or watched the best talent leave. Employees with the best product knowledge and history are not appreciated and are leaving. The moral is as low as I had seen it. Everyone is afraid & insecure with leadership. The company was much better before Endo purchased them.
