The company phone they give you is expected to be answered at all times. There was very little opportunity for advancement as the management rarely promoted within the company. The company's newly implemented safety and quality manuals were used mainly as a tool for the company to obtain work and not for employee use or protection. The company had a hard time finding quality labor and moral was always low. The work is excruciatingly hard and painful and the company does not invest in equipment to make it easier. They seemed to fear the damage an employee would do with equipment to ease the work more than the damage the work did to the employee. The company is in the battery business and batteries are heavy, however the company would not provide electric or powered means for moving several thousands of pounds of batteries daily. The company is an electrical contractor, but does not provide supervised, or licensed electrical work. The hours worked are not usable towards state licensing. The work experience obtained here is basically useless as the hours of electrical work aren't recognized. The company never paid prevailing wage on prevailing wage jobs as the 'fringe benefits' seemed to vary to make up the difference in wages. The benefits started to circle the drain once they were no longer beneficial for them to provide them.
