Pros

No weekends or holidays, and you get an hour lunch

Cons

They want you glued to the phone all day. The micromanage and expect for you to treat the customers like cramp. They charge ridiculous fees for everything and the way they manage the customers money is something unheard of. For example, lets say you have 100k in your account that you want to save, the interest is only about 13 cents and yet your monthly fee is $10 and statement fee is $3. Really............ Yes the call center is small but you never get a manager on line for anything and when someone calls in on your line, you tell them you will update their account or mail out things. But actually it takes days just to change an address. How crazy is that?????????? If you have any other bank in your area pleaseeeeeeeee run from Ameris Bank.

Pros

Company promised salary and benefits on the recruitment process that did not make it to the offer letter.

Cons

Offered $45k a year. Put a lower amount in offer letter. Offered stock options... Failed to mention you pay for them. That's not what stock options are Lied twice about the 401k match. Promised yearly pay raises. Wouldn't put it in writing.

Pros

Nothing I can say except some co-workers are good at what they do but plan on leaving.

Cons

I was a legacy Fidelity before the merger between Fidelity and Ameris-more like an acquisition since it seems Ameris was/is making all the decisions. Conversion of systems was rushed and some of the choices made were not the better product. Some of Ameris’s systems are rather antiquated and needs to be automated, causing unnecessary work. There were mass layoffs which has really affected the moral of the remaining employees. Also, some employees from Ameris see legacy Fidelity employees as competition instead of co-workers. Lower level employees are left in the dark with no idea of company direction. Doesn’t feel like a community bank anymore and customers are showing their displeasure via reviews and social media. They are losing some top performers and need to change the way they do things.
