Pros

You do have a good opportunity to make a good bit of money working for this company... But there are a ton of "what if's" and to make that cash there are many sacrifices that you will have to make. Also, this is a good stepping stone job for someone that is fresh out of college and wants to see different industries and learn a lot of technical things in the field of safety.

Cons

No consideration for personal affairs. They expect you to drop everything that's going on in your life and go on projects that are 17 hours from home and last anywhere from a couple of months to over a year, and give you 3-4 days notice from the time you have to actually be on site. Currently, the first 90 days of employment you receive $500 a month for a vehicle allotment (which is added to your salary and TAXED!). After 90 days it gets bumped up to $850 but is still taxed. You get .17 cents a mile, after you hit 500 miles in a week, so that's basically worthless. You make overtime after working 45 hours of billable time. When you shadow someone it is considered non-billable. So when you shadow a co-worker to cover them for a weekend shift you don't make the overtime rate until after 45 hours. So working overtime on weekends is completely pointless if you have non-billable time during the week. The max you will ever see for per diem is 100 a day, no matter how expensive the area is (FYI, almost any area in the U.S. as regulated by the government is set at a rate of at least 120 per day). Your relationships with friends, family and significant others will be greatly strained and put to the test. The short and sweet: This company will nickle and dime you on literally everything and expects you to be grateful just to have a job with them. Their management doesn't live in the "real world" and has a "why should I care about the employee" attitude. This is one of the most unprofessional and immoral companies that I have ever worked for and would advise anyone considering a position as a consultant with this company to heed my warning.

Pros

Traveling initially on your own money is what they expect.

Cons

The client is all they care about. All people are expendable. Don't pay mileage at full rate.

Pros

Pros are difficult to find in this company. This is not a company you go to looking for any pros.

Cons

Many cons, company does not pay to scale. Company makes you work a ton of overtime hours on a very low salary. Essentially you end up making minimum wage with the unpaid overtime hours. The company treats you like you are garbage and they control everything you do, very micro managed. They are also very cheap and pay under the IRS mileage rate for company travel and do not reimburse you or pay any per diem or travel expenses. Stay far away!!!!
