The owner is alternately charismatic/poised and neurotic/selfish. He is adept at branding himself and his companies capabilities and has generated impressive profits for this family owned business. But, he has done so at the expense of many unassuming hardworking families who commonly surrender weekends, holidays and time with loved ones to meet deadlines for the business. Several key middle managers are legacy employees who fell forward into their current roles. While they too have worked very hard; they're seriously underequipped to effectively lead others and no one in the business is technically trained to solve problems or provide structure to managements decision making process. The physical work environment is severely lacking and safety/ security is a recurring concern in this business where capital investments sorely needed.

Work/Life Balance- Poor. They will pressure you to work overtime (teamwork, the company "needs" you), but when you need to leave on time or need to leave early they will make it difficult to do so and won't remember come yearly reviews. Long history of failed relationships and family's due to the Amuneal work/life balance. Culture & Values- All the company does is preach of the "culture" at Amuneal. Realistically, these tactics are used to keep you there with lower pay and to get you to work whenever and however the CEO wants. You may be asked to do things you don't agree with ethically, safety or experience wise. As far as the CEO goes he'll bring you donuts from 7-11, but he's like Verucca "I want it NOW" Salt from Willy Wanka and the Chocolate Factory. The culture is to NEVER say "no" to the CEO even if your wife begs you to be home on time and threatens to leave you. Career Opportunities- RARE if any for promotion/advancement. The company may have you work on different operations out of NEED, not training you and what you learn will be to no expertise that would make the skill transferable elsewhere. Compensation- Salary Not competitive with other companies. They will promise you more money in the future and great PROFIT SHARING. Profit sharing will never amount to much maybe $2500 before taxes in a year. Whatever they can say to not give you a raise or less than you deserve, they will come review time. When you get a raise at review time, expect for it to be canceled out by the high increase in the company's health insurance plan. Senior Management- As far A&D goes, they work little and take advantage of company cards and cars for being "Yes" men to the CEO. Technical products works a little differently and are about every nickel and dime to prevent even the slightest overtime. Didn't work for Technical Products team, but this is what I'm told.
