      Bad work atmosphere

      Pros

      Benefits are ok. Not as good as they were once.

      Cons

      Changed to corporate atmosphere. Too many chiefs not enough real workers. Work load unrealistic.

      Pros

      Decent insurance, the coffee shop actually stays open until 3pm now (used to close at 2pm so 2nd shifters were screwed)

      Cons

      All bonuses have been taken away, they are understaffed and cutting more jobs every month yet constantly remind the staff that productivity is way down (yet) they've appointed several months in 2017 in which ZERO PTO is allowed --meaning no vacation or days off for anyone who works there during those months, patient care is being jeopardized because they are not taking care of the staff, no one is happy and that is quite evident when you walk through the door of that hospital.

      Pros

      Majority of staff are local and long term and it is a warm friendly environment in which to work. Salary and benefits are competitive even though it is not quite as large a hospital system as others nearby.

      Cons

      Upper management out of touch with staff. There are people in supervisory positions that have no idea how to do the job therefore don't have the ability to effectively support the staff and manage their areas to the benefit of the patient.
