Supportive team members and growth oriented culture
Pros
I have really appreciated that the team looks to support those around them. I have heard countless times "Hey - its the end of the day. What can I do to help you in getting out of here on time". And, when someone offers help, and you accept it, they actually follow through and deliver. I have also appreciated that everyone participates in reviewing the company's on-going priorities everyday. These are used to allocate work and for progress updates. And, if someone identifies that they need help getting a task to the finish line, the team will quickly look at ways to support that person. Notably, I also appreciate how the pay structure is set up. I am paid because of my performance and not for my credentials. The adjustments I have received have been more than fair ever since I started.
Cons
I really like the culture at AnalysisWorks, but I know it's not for everyone. Feedback can be direct, but it always focuses the task itself, and doing it well. There are times where delegated tasks can seem ambiguous. Our project leads do great work in communicating their vision and parameters, but we also expect the person who is completing the work to make sure they communicate what they need to do a great job! Inevitably, this means everyone needs to communicate openly. This can take be challenge at times, but it really supports our ability to deliver awesome work.
