Terrible CEO

Pros

The company pays you to show up.

Cons

Everything about the culture, the CEO, the team. The CEO gets buddy buddy with the worst people and ignores the hard workers. He is good friends with the Racist, Xenophobic SD Member. These claims are not unsubstantiated, myself and the rest of the team have heard him use racial slurs against African Americans multiple times, as well as racial slurs against hispanic and latino people. The CEO is terrible. He changed his title to "Managing Director" after getting multiple terrible reviews. He uses staff meetings to make us come in early and then talks about his vacations and ski trips. He does nothing but talk about climbing Fourteeners and getting drunk with other CEO's when on "business". He gets close to his lazy and sloppy employees and fires his strong willed non-yes man employees. I once saw him fire an employee for asking about a new position after getting approval from the whole team. This guy doesn't know anything about his employees families. He has asked me multiple times about my kids, and I dont have any. The only reason why I show up here is because they pay me.

Pros

-Flexibility to make unorthodox practice out of your work. -Move up through cowboying in this industry if you’re smart and hard working enough

Cons

-Hiring for valor, not expertise -Mediocrity is acceptable in the work you do -Benefits are not actually prescribed as told, hoop-jumping required -Leadership, as others have mentioned, cannot see the day-to-day operations required to move towards progress as a company

Best IT Job in Denver so far

Pros

Freedom: You get to have the flexibility you need to take care of life stuff during the week if needed. People: The team is its best right now. Everyone is contributing and working hard to make sure nobody feels like they are 'doing all the work'. Environment: We just did our first company retreat and it was a great opportunity for us all to become closer and grow together. Education: They'll pay for your certs and give you a raise once you complete it. Overall, I am really happy to be here and enjoy my work and my coworkers. Its a (largely) fun job and a pretty chill environment. If I knew someone who was looking for work in IT, I would encourage them to apply with us.

Cons

Not a whole lot of downsides. We do sometimes bend to customers being challenging. Sometimes we lose our internet and sometimes there's no coffee creamer or snacks, but nothing really major.
