Extremely Poor Leadership, Inept C-Level Personnel

Pros

Love the location, the skiing, hiking, mountain biking, etc

Cons

VERY low pay. Employees treated like scum. No funding for upkeep of the resort. Common for managers to be verbally abusive (not mine - I love my manager). Common manager tactic to come into meetings with dozens of people and 'sideswipe' other staff without warning. Typical power-trip and everybody thinks they know how to run the show.

Pros

No traffic in this town

Cons

Poor upper management, good employees get the shaft and poor employees are babied. Much of upper management need management classes, treat employees poorly, overwork their staff, many are extremely unprofessional and others just not knowledgeable. Customer service is not a priority. Human resources does not protect employees. Horrible finger pointing culture. Would not recommend employment here to anyone with any sort of work ethic, you'll be way frustrated. Improvements in facilities, base area & rooms non-existent. No one seems to care. All I can assume is that this is a tax write-off.

Fun seasonal gig but never permanent employment

Pros

Summer/winter activities are fun and you get to participate as an employee. Locals are awesome people. Perfect place to improve your mtb skills in one summer. Ski school is a fun department and you will learn how to be a better teacher.

Cons

The company will lay everyone off once the job is done (including "ft year round" employees). Only a select few will be there over 1 year. Not including returning ski bums. The wind. Power always goes out in town. Cell service is spotty.
