      Good people who are bad at their job or bad people doing their best

      Pros

      Office near BART/Muni so the commute home is quick. Community engagement in the brand is admirable.

      Cons

      The positive reviews here are shill reviews. People are unhappy and very stressed out. Management foster a blame culture without any introspection. The current senior management was gifted the previous product and believe they created a masterpiece (born on third base, think they hit a triple analogy stands here). People who speak their mind are quickly put in the "bad kids" category. People go in and out of favor with the senior mangement very quickly. Don't come expecting to make a difference, be quiet and collect a paycheck.

      Pros

      The product that the current team inherited is great

      Cons

      Do you want to work for a company that 'strongly encourages' all employees to write positive Glassdoor reviews, all while knowing (because of internal surveys) that employees are not happy? One review on here is pretty spot on with the issues...read that one. (notice the recent uptick in reviews after someone brave wrote an honest review)

      More than what I thought it would be

      Pros

      I've been at companies where I thought this is pretty good, it isn't bad at all and then I joined Anova and realized wow this is a whole new level. It's not one thing that sets Anova apart, it's a culmination of everything. For example how people genuinely care about you, care about what they do, and the company as a whole have one common goal. Yes everyone has a different set of objectives but we are all working towards one goal. I could tell you all the other great things such as free lunch, flexibility, and etc but you know what, come interview and find out for yourself.

      Cons

      Are there bad apples? Yes of course there are a few bad ones in the fruit drawer from time to time and hot water to drink isn't easily accessible.
