After reading some of the cons in other reviews here, I have to say that my experience has varied significantly from other employees. Being a caregiver means agreeing to a potentially volatile schedule. Hours do fluctuate because of the kind of work we do. However, I established myself as extremely reliable from day one and never called off so I was easily able to maintain the hours I needed to survive. If you frequently miss work, are late, or otherwise can't be counted on, then you won't be first in line for work. Taking responsibility for yourself and making sure you are the go-to person for shift coverage will result in the hours you need.
