This company is trash. There are so many vulnerabilities in the system that weren’t patched for years, which is super ironic for a company in the “security” sphere. They can’t even claim to be log4j complaint because they are not. They laid off a lot of people, which sometimes happen but the severance package was trash. I won’t miss this place. Aside from the company completely cleaning house and letting 22% of the staff go, they couldn’t find budget for things that were absolutely necessary.

Senior management did a poor job of budgeting. In July 2021, they laid off over half of their staff without warning. This included the entire marketing and support team, and most of the developers. What is left is a skeleton crew of C-level "executives" and a few HR people. It would appear they are trying to sell the IP to a buyer, and with the stock price collapsing, that will happen soon. Unfortunately I can't be more specific, as Appgate is a GlassDoor advertiser and thus flags any negative reviews that aren't completely generic.
