Pros

i get to Vpn into my home machine and play WoW and run my own Amazon store. We literally don't do much work. U are free to do whatever you'd like.

Cons

The pay is horrendous and chases away good talent. They'll offer you $27k, but don't take the first offer, they'll up it $1k. Refuse again and they'll offer you more money. The ceo likes to show off by driving around his several $80k+ cars while support members struggle to make ends meet. They try to come off as progressive, but they're not. They're more worried about expanding than they are taking care of the employees that make them money here in gulf breeze. Murdoch needs to re-evaluate his pay scale for employees. You have people who can't afford their own cell phone bills or rent because they get paid so little. I wouldn't hold my breath on that. He would never take a pay cut to make sure his employees could pay their bills.

Pros

The people of AppRiver made AppRiver. Before Zix, people were focused on delivering value to the org and to customers. The culture was supportive, trusting, and fostered innovation. The only good things left about AppRiver are the poor souls still there after the acquisition by Zix.

Cons

Zix purchased AppRiver with a bunch of promises and hasnt delivered on any of them. Zix's culture is based on fear and lack of trust (across the board). They have way too many internal politics for their size which indicates they are completely mismanaged... all the way to the top. There is no single drum beat that the org is marching to, there are many small kingdoms with individual leaders reigning over their minions with fear... fear to keep in line with them, not the rest of the org. They think its normal to pressure teams to deliver on unrealistic goals. They will certainly burn everyone out (at least the ones that stay... many are already leaving).

Pros

None. Management chooses to use nepotism to guide their decisions more than an employees performance

Cons

Low pay for the positions. You're lucky if you get a fair market rate. Poor management. Lots of email outages recently, leading to high stress days upon days of customer complaints. Management is more interested in how well you know their families personally than job performance, All the current profits are being invested in other locations around the globe instead of the employees that are making them money.
