Very flexible hours if you are up front about your needs Satisfying to make a dirty plane look amazing and beat the deadline Part of a cohesive team that accomplishes large projects efficiently Good raises every year ($. 60 to $2 depending on performance and tenure) High crew turnover yields many opportunities for promotions
Cons
Hours can vary wildly throughout the year (6-8 hour days in the winter/after holidays, 10-12 hour days in the summer) It's hard work to keep our efficiency up (gets easier with experience) Manpower is not always evenly distributed (could have 2 people working some days, could have 7) The starting pay is pretty low considering the liability involved working around 10+ million dollar jets
