Pros

The salary is fair but that’s all

Cons

This is a terrible place to working. The CEO does everything. He is very controlling and makes every decisions. No management can make any decisions without asking CEO. I’m in sales and it’s difficult to get work done without waiting too long for things that would help me. But nobody will stand up to the CEO or say him any thing. Because everyone is afraid of him. He micro manage everyone so the best thing to do is stay away from him. The sales systems are terrible, the sales reps all know this and talk about this it’s so bad, but nobody can tell mansgement from fear. If you have some problem at work, it’s better not to tell anyone and just let the business suffer, otherwise you will look bad and get micro manage. Not a good company culture at appier.

We certainly acknowledge that as Appier has undergone rapid growth, our processes have not always kept up with the pace of change. In 2020, we are upgrading existing processes to make sure people have as many open lines of communication as possible, and putting new systems in place where necessary. We are also bolstering our senior leadership team, helping to further distribute decision-making as we move from a startup into an established scale-up business.

Terrible Culture

Cons

The product is almost all fraud, client always unhappy, so many complain client. Boss has favourite employee in Taiwan. All others get ignore, you are chasing internally always fighting to get basic sales needs approved.

Worst company I ever work at

Pros

The HQ are so racist and give special treatment to Taiwan, Japan, Korea. So I friend with colleague in the other countries, since we need to stick together and now friendships very strong. Management have no idea how much negative sentiment is circulating outside those 3 countries. Everyday I am Get message from my appier friends about how they hate their jobs. These friendships are the only good thing about appier.

Cons

The culture is terrible. If you are in Taiwan you will have a great big office, local support, free snacks, big parties, local PR, team culture, holiday gifts. If you are outside Taiwan like me, you have nothing. You work alone, work from home, no office, no team culture, no support. Manager doesn’t care about you. In the Taiwanese holidays, there is no support and you cannot get any help. Even if no holiday in my country. HQ make decisions for my local office and they do not understand my culture, and don’t trust outsiders. it’s the same in every country outside Taiwan because my other colleagues complain the same every day. This is why appier only have 2-3 people each country because HQ do not trust. HR make a survey to check the employee satisfaction, however the survey responses were fixed choices which manipulate the employee to choose favourable answers to make the company look good. There were no survey options available to reflect actual feedback. HR should make a survey to collect honest opinions and allow people to write their own comments, but the company culture is don’t care about this because HQ make every decision. They should trust local office, otherwise we never have success
