      Reading Office is a Toxic Place to Work

      Pros

      Compensation and benefits are good. HR organizes fun events to liven up the environment. Used to have lot's of challenging assignments and low bureaucracy. It was easy to make a big difference.

      Cons

      There are no opportunities in the Reading office. Most of the high performers have left. Lot's of star executives have also moved on. The current management is not very communicative and tends to not engage and mingle unless there is a formal event. IT is a big bottleneck to get anything done. Tend to live in a bubble, wage turf wars, and engage in tons of politics. Have a "My way or the highway" attitude. This used to be a fun place to work, but not any more. Sad to see all the talent go to waste because of bad leadership.

      Horrible Management ! Horrible Work Environment !

      Pros

      Hard working and collaborative work environment in Libertyville office.

      Cons

      Senior Management comes down from HQ to Libertyville, and publicly berates employees and uses fear and intimidation to silence resistance to their pet ideas. Never ending turf wars between technology group leadership and rest of the company are legendary, and have caused internal dysfunction and loss of client business. Delayed projects, demotivated employees, lack of adequate IT infrastructure, lack of any IT support in the Libertyville office, is now the norm. Employees are leaving in droves. Company is owned by Merck, and Merck dominated board is allowing situation to spiral out of control.

      Fake five star reviews won't save the company

      A lot of time to interview for a new job. No real goals and not much pressure.

      Cons

      Worst CEO I have ever worked with. Plummeting revenue. Even hard to sell Merck on using our services.
