Pros

Decently nice office space with snack bar. There are a handful of incredibly kind, talented, and thoughtful people working here that make everything possible.

Cons

Aras suffers from a general lack of honesty and respect towards their employees. The company's main product: Aras Innovator, is pushed as an amazing piece of technology that allows important customers such as Microsoft to function day to day. In reality, it promises more than it can actually deliver. In addition, you will likely never actually write code for the product in your time at the company. Members of the support department are often asked to come up with solutions for client problems on the spot, and take the full brunt of customer anger when the company fails to deliver on promises. Aras also hides their 45 hour minimum workweek, occasional mandatory overtime, and lack of raises from their new hires. The department's high turnover rate means that skills and information is constantly lost, and new hires are forced to learn the intricacies of the software with no guidance. One of the most dissatisfying and stressful experiences I've had.

Pros

The benefits of the upgrades covered under subscription is stronger then competitors.

Cons

The culture has dramatically changed for the worse after the CEO, Roque Martin took over. The management style is very consolidated and far more concerned about the board then the customer. Upper management lack of understanding of the PLM market creates a lack of direction, which had previously existed with the many experienced leaders that have left.

Thank you for your response and we are sorry to hear that you feel there was a negative change of direction. Our upper management team is consistently preaching about putting customer satisfaction first, and we will collaborate to make sure that message is being received and executed.

Pros

Platform architecture and the upgrade team.

Cons

After the PE buyout, there was a major drain in PLM and industry knowledgeable executives. The new executive team lacks the experience to effectively lead resulting in a toxic culture.

We appreciate your feedback and outlook of our architecture and upgrade team. We value our PLM knowledge and hope that the recent The Forrester Wave PLM leaders list will shine that knowledge through!
