Pros

Small class sizes. Senior staff is great and so helpful. Kids and parents are mostly great. Not much else comes to mind. Might be an ok job for someone just starting in teaching... plenty of training being offered. Might be growth opportunity

Cons

Afraid of the witch hunt so I don't want to say too much... Severely understaffed; constantly pulling teachers from other areas to cover call-ins. New principal thinks emails is the best form of communication but either never reads his own or just doesn't think you're worth a response. Sudden schedule changes, springing events last minute on staff expecting 100% participation (we have lives!) "Its not last minute, it was in the email this morning" (if there wasn't a two week advance notice or more then it's last minute!). New principal preaches about relationships but never tried to bond with anyone on staff. He has a very "my way or the highway" mentality. Safety concerns were often ignored or underrated. Low pay. If you are a teacher reading this: KNOW YOUR WORTH. Don't let them interview you, you have all the power and they aren't offering anything special, You interview THEM; if they aren't willing to give you what you want now, take that as a sign that they probably never will. Burn out is real, so do your homework. Oh, and GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!! They like to play games.

Pros

Wonderful day to day team

Cons

Maureen Okoye, CEO, is a bully. The trust has lost a number of court cases yet she remains in post. Intimidation and lying are her norm
