Not sure where to begin. Long time ex-employee that has never seen such poor decision making by the management team in all my years. Every decision was based on financial reasons and not one decision benefited the customer or employee. The (very few) management team members that knew enough about the business and gave input were ignored. Employees that offered suggestions on how to improve situations, were ignored. Moral was awful, policies were implemented/changed that seemed to be created just to encourage employees to resign. The employees that knew how to do their jobs were either let go or resigned. Management felt very threatened by those with historical knowledge. Reviews were a joke an made you feel incompetent. There was no accountability for errors, especially ones made by management. Staffing was insufficient, turnover was extremely high and one would almost feel bad when someone new was brought on board. New hires were never given proper orientation and introductions and were just thrown into the job. This caused lots of mistakes and turmoil for other departments which were affected by the errors. When someone leaves, the others are expected to pick up the extra work load without any compensation. Complaining about internal processes was frowned upon and as soon as you do, it would be held against you. There was no flexibility in schedules at all and in this day and age, where most companies have flex time or work from home days, this company forbid it. Working overtime is expected and frowned upon if you don't. There is no family/work balance in this company. There is little or no promoting from within.
