My progression was held back and stinted when I asked to move up to an Account Executive position. Despite the colleagues around me telling me I was already working at well above my level, my manager insisted I wasn't ready and wanted to keep me on a grad salary with the same title, I didn't feel my progression was supported, and when looking elsewhere was offered plenty of AE level roles based on my experience.

Text100 and Bite merged to become Archetype - while it was a merger, it felt like an acquisition and during this transition, majority of Text100 upper manager were let go, created a new brand Archetype but there was no excitement or story behind this and the business model scaled back to the traditional PR agency .

Salary appraisals aren't the best. But if they likey you, then perhaps?

1. Biasness, biasness and biasness 2. If a junior shares feedback about the manager's rude behaviour then a manager becomes vindictive 3. There is no growth

Culture can feel cliqueish and political despite claims of having “no politics” and being "flat". Some managers tend to micromanage heavily without room for flexibility and treat the team like a military camp; favouritism can be quite apparent, and gossip behind colleagues’ backs is common, especially during leave periods or team conflicts. The environment can feel tense and not always genuinely supportive. Managers have no clue how to manage difficult clients, and push it onto the juniors for not making their lofty promises work.
