Pros

Work from home. A few co-workers.

Cons

This company is lead by an egotistical, self-absorbed, self-centered, arrogant, maniac. Everything is about her and how much money she can make for herself. She does not care about the people that work at ASG AT ALL. Already this year she has taken 4 times the amount of vacation that every other employee is given…and it’s only July. Micromanagement by every level. My boss would go into my calendar and question me on every single meeting that I had, why I set it up and why it was necessary. No one is trusted to do their job. There are so many unnecessary meetings instead of just trusting people to do the job they were hired to do. Salary and vacation time are far from industry norms. And conversations about both are quickly shut down and we are encouraged to leave if we aren’t satisfied with them. They don’t feel they need to keep up with market/inflation trends. There is no integrity from the top down. We are are basically told to lie to clients and hide things from them that they might question. We are encouraged to charge clients extra hours. We increase fees in the middle of a project. Overall company culture is TERRIBLE. It is clear that upper management plays favorites. There is a group of people that can get away with anything and there is another group that is often treated poorly in group/client calls. There were layoffs a few months ago and it was poorly handled. The communication around it was very vague and misleading. They basically pretended it didn’t happen then turned around and celebrated winning an award about being a growing company. The Sales Department creates issues for every department. They don’t bother to get to know what each department does and what they can offer. They just guess in the contracts and we often have to replan the scopes of work with the clients. There is ZERO growth for employees. And when asked there is always a “we’ll get back to you” type of answer. No one has goals, no one has any idea what the company is trying to achieve overall. There is no training program. You are basically thrown into your job and told “good luck”. Turnover at this company is very high. From the outside it looks great, but a week in you realize how terrible it is.

High Pay, High Burnout

Pros

It's a very familial environment where your co-workers want to get to know you. You are afforded a lot of independence and creative license. The projects you work on will be significant and have great impact. Pay is generous.

Cons

Extremely high burnout rate, very few people stay longer than a year. Workload is great and seems much larger due to mismanagement. pay lip service to values but have little impact on day to day.
