      Worst company I have ever worked for.

      Pros

      Some beautiful locations around the UK, but that's it. Nothing else I'm afraid as the company is shockingly run for front line staff and managers.

      Cons

      The HR function at this company is purely administrative. You have one and half full time HR employees to cover multiple racecourses and 100s of members of staff. It's a joke! I have never worked with such poorly trained and disengaged department heads. Senior management do not have the first understanding of the operations they oversee and manage solely from P&L spreadsheets. Staff turnover is ridiculous and the only people that stay long term are useless and uninterested.

      Nice scenery at the Racecourses Friendly staff

      Cons

      No worthwhile career development unless you want to abide by the ARC guide to management (only care about making money for the company and telling your staff to deal with it). No pay for overtime, compensated as TOIL, although you don't get back the hours you work. (in the last 7 months at the company I was uncompensated for 70 hours overtime that was worked during approved days for overtime) Massively underpaying for similar jobs. HR/Senior management don't take into consideration salaries in the South need to be higher due to cost of living. No support from management both at Racecourse and Board Level. Poor IT Systems Next to no training offered when I commenced the role

      None. There are no pros. Even trying to get paid the hours you work is hard. They will do anything to not pay you.

      Cons

      Everything. This is because senior management have no experience and use bullying to try and get there way. New director has made things worse, she has no idea and sadly this does not go unnoticed by customers. It’s embarrassing.
